We have a couple of newbies here, an intern and a permanent staff. And they've gotten some of us here a little worried :P

Why? Well, skills is one reason. And it really gets you thinking... what are colleges teaching kids these days? It's like whatever they've been taught now is no longer adequate. Ok, so they're freshies and will have a lot to learn. However, it's like even little skills like basic understanding to creating a webpage is a challenge O.O Plus the fact they both have not heard of FTP...

It's not really their fault (well, maybe a wee bit). But it really makes you think, what are institutions teaching kids these days leh? Our intern is sometimes quiet (too quiet), and we've been trying to teach him as much as possible. However, there are times he takes our words too literally, which may result him not being able to make decisions for himself. And the new staff is, well... new.

Luckily, some of us are able to spare some time to teach them from time to time. After all, as an intern, you're here to learn and we're here to teach... And I hope the new staff will pick up fast. I can't help but worry for the newbies... institutions are not exactly teaching them what's really needed in the industry, and they seem kinda lost and blur.
