TEDTalks : Dan Pink on the surprising science of motivation

I found this talk pretty interesting. The speaker talked about how sometimes incentives don't exactly give you the type of motivation you would expect(i.e: creative thinking and cognitive function). Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for rewarding people who do their job and do it well. However, the speaker did bring up a very interesting fact that sometimes, it's not so much the incentive that will drive someone to do better, but rather, the acknowledgement of that person's skill sets to be able to make a difference.

Carrots and sticks, carrots and sticks~~~
